Week 1 
Kick off - Live Intro Session

Meet your teachers, classmates and learn how to navigate the course

Session 1 and Q&A #1 - Data understanding and analytics

The session focuses on Exponea data architecture and an overview of the Exponea interface. After this lesson, you will get a better understanding of Exponea's data architecture and learn how to use the most essential analytical features in Exponea.

The lessons covers: 

  • What are the sources of data in Exponea? 
  • Explanation of Single Customer View
  • How does Exponea identify individual customers? 
  • The difference between ‘Raw’ vs. ‘Manufactured’ data; Customer attributes vs. events
  • Understanding the logic behind customer filters, metrics, and aggregates
  • Inspirational business use-cases and practical exercises
Week 2
Session 2 - Analytics part 2 and web personalization

During this session, we will continue with a more in-depth discussion of data analytics and cover web personalization. After the lesson, you will have a thorough understanding of how to use the reporting feature for anomaly detection and how to create customized experiences for visitors to your websites.

The lessons covers: 

  • Understanding and designing complex reports and dashboards 
  • Managing events and customer attributes to get a good overview of your  tracked values
  • How to visualize how customers flow through a defined sequence of events
  • What are the available tools in Exponea to change the experience of an individual customer?
  • What is Exponea Console and how can you use it?
  • Web-layers and Experiments: how do you get the most out of them?
  • Inspirational business use-cases and practical exercises
Q&A #2 - Real-time help from our top consultants

Exponea Fundamentals offers 3 designated Q&A sessions to support different learning speeds. This session offers each participant an opportunity to discuss project-related questions and to recap any troubling content modules.  You'll receive real-time consulting and space to follow up on your individual requests. You can submit your questions in advance through Slido - an online discussion platform.

Week 3
Session 3 - Scenarios and emails

The lesson is fully devoted to the usage of automated scenarios. You will find out how to use  Exponea’s logic flow builder to connect with your customers and increase their engagement and retention.

The lessons covers: 

  • The main building blocks of a Scenario
  • How to exactly define which audience should receive a campaign action
  • How to work with the attributes of the event “campaign”
  • Emailing practices 
  • “Policies” in Exponea: consents and frequency capping
  • Explanation of the import process
  • Inspirational business use-cases and practical exercises

Session 4 - Exam revision and group exercise

The last instructor-led session is dedicated to the revision of previously covered content: analytics, web-personalization and scenarios. It takes the form of an interactive group exercise that builds on important platform elements while constructing a simple version of a customer loyalty program. 

The lessons covers: 

  • Cash-back loyalty program use case
  • Qualitative exercises for revision
  • Group work
  • Preparation for the exam
